What types of health insurance plans are available?

How do I choose the right health insurance plan for me and my family?
Talk to a knowledgeable independent broker that has multiple options available to find the plan that fits your budget and medical needs.
What is the difference between in-network and out-of-network coverage?
Networks have to do with providers being contracted with the insurance company on your particular plan. Using providers in-network will mean lower out-of-pocket expenses when you seek medical care. Depending on your network type will depend on whether or not your plan will cover providers that aren’t contracted.
How does the deductible, copayment, and coinsurance work?
Your deductible is generally the amount you’ll pay before your insurance company starts sharing in your covered medical expenses. Copayments are sharing benefits you will receive without you having to satisfy your deductible. Coinsurance is how you split your medical expenses with the insurance company after your medical expenses exceed your deductible.
How do I enroll in a health insurance plan?
Each plan type and carrier can have a certain way to enroll and your broker will assist with enrollment depending on plan selection. For most major medical plans enrollment will take place Healthcare.gov or an approved EDE platform like the one we use (HealthSherpa).
